Historic Triumph: Elation as Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh Secure Bronze in 10m Air Pistol at Paris Olympics – Manu’s Unprecedented Double Win!
In a thrilling showdown at the Paris Olympics, Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh secured a Bronze medal in the mixed 10m air pistol event by overcoming the South Korean duo of Oh Ye Jin and Lee Wonho with a decisive 16-10 victory. This triumph marks a historic milestone for Manu, who has now become the first Indian athlete to win two medals in the same edition of the Olympics. She previously clinched a bronze in the women’s 10m Air Pistol event. Meanwhile, this achievement gives Sarabjot his first Olympic medal, adding a significant accolade to his career.
Before Manu’s impressive feat, only two other Indian athletes had won multiple Olympic medals: shuttler P V Sindhu and wrestler Sushil Kumar, both of whom achieved their medals in different Olympic games.
