A horrific road accident occurred on March 13 on National Highway 15 at Ghorabandha, Sipajhar, when a container truck and an oil tanker collided, leaving a trail of destruction and chaos in its wake. The already treacherous scenario took a darker turn as an ambulance, unfortunately, was caught in the midst of the mayhem, resulting in severe injuries to its passengers, including a critically ill patient and two family members on board.

As the container truck, with registration number NL 01K8515, was entering the Ghorabandha oil depot for refueling, a careless move by the oil tanker, identified as AS 01DC0725, heading towards Mangaldoi, lost control and crashed into the truck. The unsuspecting ambulance, en route to Guwahati, was then forced to brake violently, resulting in a devastating chain reaction that left a trail of destruction and mangled metal in its wake.

Local police rushed to the scene, swiftly assessing the situation and providing medical assistance to the injured. However, both truck drivers, the oil tanker and container truck operators, inexplicably abandoned the scene and are currently at large, prompting authorities to launch a concentrated effort to track them down.
