Daring Smuggler Busted with 3.1 Tons of Ganja in Bijni
In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Amguri police in Bijni, Chirang, successfully apprehended a smuggler in Patalmari on Tuesday night. The accused, Sattar Ali, a 35-year-old resident of Patalmari, was caught red-handed by a team of police officials led by Pomkhedi Bijni Sub-Divisional Police Officer Prasenjit Das, Amguri Police Station in-charge Pankaj Dal, and 2nd officer Prince Buragohain.
According to sources, the police had received specific intelligence about the smuggling activities and strategically planned the arrest. As Sattar Ali attempted to leave his house with a bag containing 3 kilograms 100 grams of ganja, he was intercepted by the law enforcement team. The accused, along with the seized contraband, was taken to the Amguri police station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
