He further spotlighted health coverage schemes, declaring insurance benefits of Rs 2 lakh for families in crisis and Rs 1 lakh for accidental disabilities. Alongside, the Chief Minister’s Microfinance initiative was introduced, offering loans up to Rs 15 lakh to entrepreneurs without collateral, encouraging local business ventures.
Addressing the ongoing Naga political issue, Rio lamented the slow pace of state progress due to unresolved conflicts, acknowledging how divisions impede significant development projects. Advocacy for unity was a central theme, as Rio emphasized that peace was essential for growth. Despite challenges, he proudly noted Nagaland’s low crime rate, deeming it a safe haven for women, and stressed the need for economic investments.
With Nagaland rich in resources like oil, petroleum, and minerals, Rio noted the untapped potential hindered by internal challenges.
