Assam CM Champions Integrity: Celebrates with 564 CCE 2023 Candidates through Transparent Hiring
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reaffirmed his government’s pledge to create over 1.5 lakh government jobs, distributing appointment letters to 564 candidates who succeeded in the Combined Competitive Exam (CCE 2023) across various departments. The ceremony at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra underscored the administration’s commitment to a transparent and fair recruitment process. CM Sarma highlighted that Assam’s employment model has become a benchmark for other states, emphasizing that the selected candidates achieved their positions solely through merit without any political interference or bribery.
Sarma insisted on the integrity of the process, stating, “We have established a system of good governance. None of the selected candidates belong to a minister’s family, nor have they paid bribes for their jobs. Their success is solely based on merit and hard work.” He reiterated the state’s ongoing efforts to ensure impartiality, aiming to eliminate any malpractice in the recruitment process.
Despite the progress in transparent recruiting, Sarma acknowledged the persistent challenge of eliminating bribery from government offices. “We have ensured fair and transparent recruitment processes, but our fight against bribery within government offices continues. Our ultimate goal is to establish a system of true good governance,” he stated.
This initiative follows Sarma’s appointment drive on Saturday, where he distributed appointment letters to 4,529 contractual teachers for secondary schools and 58 assistant professors for colleges across Assam.
