Transforming Yuksom: Unveiling DC’s Visionary Plans to Revolutionize Public Infrastructure
On Wednesday, District Collector Tenzing D. Denzongpa of Gyalshing district conducted his inaugural official visit to the Yuksom subdivision. The visit aimed to evaluate the area’s public infrastructure and assess its administrative and developmental requirements. Engaging with government and Panchayati Raj officials, Denzongpa chaired a meeting at the Yuksom Dubdi Gram Panchayat Unit office, gaining valuable insights into local governance. Accompanied by key officials like DS Limboo, Zilla Adhyaksha, and Chandan Singh Subba, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, he prioritized manpower allocation and garbage disposal efficiency, urging for dedicated public service commitment.
Denzongpa also visited culturally significant Karthok Lake and the Yuksom Health and Wellness Centre, where he personally availed dental services, setting an example of confidence in local healthcare. His involvement bolstered community trust in public health facilities and morale among medical staff. The tour continued at the Resource and Recovery Centre (RRC) in Gerethang, where Denzongpa commended the team’s innovative waste management efforts. He encouraged them to adopt best practices from other centers to enhance their operations.
Additionally, the DC inspected infrastructure projects at Chongrang Gram Panchayat Unit, reviewing the neglected SC Bhawan building. He called for a comprehensive report on the building’s condition, emphasizing its renovation and repurposing as a community facility to prevent further deterioration and trespassing.
Concluding his visit at the Kongri Labdang Gram Panchayat Unit, Denzongpa’s comprehensive tour underscored the importance of proactive governance and sustainable development in Yuksom. His detailed assessments and engagement with local facilities and officials aim to drive growth and reinforce public services beneficial to the subdivision’s residents.
