Urgent Alert: Guwahati Residents Brace for Temporary Water Supply Disruption Amid Critical Pipe Maintenance
Guwahati: The Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water & Sewarage Board (GMDWSB) is set to temporarily suspend water supply throughout Guwahati, Assam, to conduct a robotic survey of the clear water pumping main pipeline. This initiative is intended to pinpoint and fix vulnerable sections in the pipeline to enhance the reliability of the water supply system.
The disruption will occur in three phases: from February 12 to 15, then from February 19 to 22, and finally from February 25 to 28. During this time, advanced robotic technology will be employed to identify and address pipeline defects, preventing future technical issues and improving the overall effectiveness of the water network in Guwahati.
The Guwahati Jal Board has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and has requested the cooperation of residents.
