Vote counting for the Delhi Assembly elections is set to begin at 8 AM today. Nineteen counting centers have been established across 11 districts in Delhi to facilitate this process.
Security measures have been intensified in the national capital, with 38 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces deployed at these centers. Local police are working closely with candidates and District Election officials to ensure the process proceeds smoothly and transparently.
A multi-tier security system has been implemented, including a strong room and a designated counting hall. In accordance with Election Commission guidelines, the Central Armed Police Force is overseeing security, while local police are responsible for securing the premises and managing the initial entry points. Barricades have been set up 100 meters from each center, restricting access to authorized personnel only.
The election, held last Wednesday, showcased a three-way contest involving the BJP, Aam Aadmi Party, and Congress, with a total of 699 candidates vying for seats. To form a government in Delhi, a party must secure at least 36 of these seats.
