Legendary Icons Deepika Padukone and Mary Kom to Inspire Millions at PM Modi’s Empowering ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s annual interaction program, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), is returning with a revamped format this year. The initiative aims to ease exam-related stress and foster a culture of holistic education among students preparing for Board examinations. This year’s edition will feature an impressive lineup of personalities from various fields, including actress Deepika Padukone, Olympian Mary Kom, Paralympian Avani Lekhara, nutritionist Rujuta Divekar, food expert Sonali Sabharwal, actors Vikrant Massey and Bhumi Pednekar, YouTuber Technical Guruji, and business leader Radhika Gupta.
Scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the event will follow a town hall format to stimulate engaging and interactive discussions. Organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy, PPC has grown significantly since its inception in 2018, evolving into a national movement that strikes a chord with students, teachers, and parents alike.
The 8th edition in 2025 witnessed a record participation of 3.56 crore individuals, a significant rise from the previous year’s 2.26 crore. Its popularity underscores its impact, as the program encourages students to perceive exams not as a source of stress, but as a celebratory Utsav. This innovative approach has been instrumental in tackling the mental well-being challenges faced by students.
Ahead of the main event, school-level activities were conducted nationwide from January 12 to January 25, 2025. These involved 1.42 crore students, 12.81 lakh teachers, and almost 3 lakh schools, engaging in indigenous games, marathons, creative competitions, yoga sessions, and student-led performances—all designed to alleviate exam stress and cultivate a positive outlook.
By offering a platform for direct interaction with the Prime Minister, Pariksha Pe Charcha provides students with invaluable insights and stress-management strategies. This year’s expanded edition is poised to make a substantial impact, leveraging a diverse array of experts to guide students toward flourishing in their exams.
