Shocking Incident: Firing Outside Sidhu Moosewala’s Friend’s House Unsettles Chandigarh
In a shocking incident in Mansa, unknown attackers on a motorcycle opened fire outside the residence of local transporter Pargat Singh on Sunday night. This attack comes just 10 days after Singh received a threatening WhatsApp message from a UK-based number, demanding a ransom of Rs 30 lakh on behalf of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi group. The message had also warned Singh to hire a gunman and bulletproof his vehicle for safety.
Pargat Singh, who had cited proximity to the late singer Sidhu Moosewala and even appeared in Moosewala’s music video “Mera Naam,” is not a professional actor, but his connection adds a layer of intrigue to the case. On January 23, Singh reported the ransom threat to the Mansa police, but it was during this past Sunday’s incident that the situation escalated into violence.
CCTV footage from Singh’s home captured two individuals on a motorcycle arriving at approximately 11 PM. After passing by the house once, they returned and fired two shots at the main gate before fleeing the scene, with one of the bullets hitting the gate. The police were promptly informed, and an ongoing investigation has been launched.
Buta Singh, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Mansa City-2, confirmed the firing incident, stating that an FIR has been filed and efforts are underway to identify and capture the perpetrators. He noted that Singh did not mention any links to Sidhu Moosewala’s family in his recent complaint.
Regarding the earlier ransom threats, the SHO expressed unawareness of any official reports filed previously but assured that it would be included in the current investigation. Authorities remain vigilant in pursuing all angles related to both the threat and the assault, aiming to ensure justice is served.
