Ashneer Grover, the former founder of BharatPe, recently expressed his discontent with Salman Khan’s conduct during his appearance on Bigg Boss 18 last year. Grover criticized Khan for engaging in an unnecessary altercation on the show, accusing the Bollywood star of orchestrating drama for publicity. These revelations were made during Grover’s interaction with students at NIT Kurukshetra, where he revisited the on-air confrontation.
Grover’s comments are rooted in a tense exchange that occurred when Khan questioned him about previous remarks Grover allegedly made, including an incident where Grover claimed he was denied a photo with the actor. Grover fired back, questioning Khan’s intentions and suggesting that the confrontation seemed staged. He expressed his bewilderment at being invited onto the show if Khan was unaware of his name, stating, “Naam nahi jaanta toh bulaaya kyun tha?”
Grover further emphasized his control over his company’s decisions, noting that Khan, as a brand ambassador for his company, could not have assumed the role without meeting him first. Grover accused Khan of creating a false narrative for the show’s ratings, labeling him a “coward” who postures as intimidating only in front of those he deems weaker.
The tension between Grover and Khan originated in 2023, when Grover first discussed the photo incident on the Vagehra Vagehra podcast. During Bigg Boss 18, Khan addressed the claims, advising Grover to be more mindful of his words.
Grover’s recent statements coincide with the launch of his own reality show, “Rise and Fall,” on Amazon MX Player. The show explores themes of power dynamics and social hierarchy, with Grover as the host. Meanwhile, Salman Khan is making headlines for his upcoming podcast debut with his nephew Arhan Khan’s “Dumb Biryani.”
