Breaking: Administration Urgently Requests Prashant Kishor’s Protest Relocation from Iconic Gandhi Maidan

In a late-night directive, the district administration has instructed Prashant Kishor, founder of “Jan Suraaj,” to relocate his protest from Gandhi Maidan to Gardanibagh in Patna. The authorities declared the protest illegal at Gandhi Maidan, citing it as a restricted zone for such activities. Using loudspeakers and other public address systems, officials informed Kishor and fellow protesters of the mandate, also delivering official notices.

The move follows a Patna High Court ruling from seven years ago, which designated Gardanibagh as the approved location for protests to minimize public inconvenience in the bustling Patna area. Authorities advised Kishor, known as PK, to shift the protest immediately and ensure future demonstrations only occur in Gardanibagh with proper permission.

This dharna began at Gandhi Maidan on Thursday, initiated as a hunger strike by Kishor, demanding the reconduct of the BPSC Preliminary Test held on December 13, citing numerous irregularities, including a paper leak. Joining Kishor were numerous BPSC aspirants and “Jan Suraaj” leaders supporting the call for test reconduct.
