Heartwarming Boost: CM Generously Extends Rs 70,000 Medical Aid to Three Individuals at ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’
Agartala, January 1, 2025: In a compassionate gesture to kick off the New Year, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha granted an immediate financial aid of Rs 70,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to three individuals seeking urgent medical assistance. This took place during the 37th edition of the ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ program at his official residence.
The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to addressing public needs and swiftly acted on the grievances presented. Among the beneficiaries was Beli Malakar from Durgapur, Kailashahar, who received Rs 30,000 for her son’s kidney surgery. Her husband, a daily wage earner, could not afford the procedure. Following a review of necessary medical documentation, further assistance from Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Medical Superintendent of GBP Hospital, was arranged.
Similarly, Sushanta Taran from Joynagar, Agartala, was assisted with Rs 35,000 to support his wife’s ongoing four-year battle with cancer, a burden on his limited income from private-sector work. Additionally, Narayan Gupta of Simna, struggling to manage thrice-weekly dialysis due to chronic kidney disease, was granted Rs 5,000 to ease his financial distress.
Beyond these cases, aid was extended to others, including Arnika Debbarma, Sonia Akhtar, and Anita Rishi Das, reflecting the Chief Minister’s comprehensive outreach. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary to the Chief Minister, and other notable officials like Tapas Roy, Secretary of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department, and health department leaders, participated in the program, supporting the Chief Minister’s mission to alleviate public hardship.
Dr. Saha’s initiative underscores his administration’s dedication to prioritizing healthcare and providing immediate relief to those in dire need, reinforcing the government’s role as a responsive ally to its citizens.
