Breaking News: Trump Appoints Former Aide Katie Miller to Revolutionary Musk-LED DOGE Panel
President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Katie Miller, who previously served in his first administration, as an early member of an advisory board intended to reduce government spending, federal regulations, and staff. This board will be led by billionaire allies Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Miller, wife of Trump’s incoming deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, will join the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Trump described DOGE as an informal advisory body designed to “slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies.”
Through Truth Social, Trump announced, “Katie Miller will soon be joining DOGE! She has been a loyal supporter of mine for many years and will bring her professional experience to Government Efficiency.” Although Musk and Ramaswamy aim to eliminate numerous federal regulations and trim the number of federal agencies from over 400 to 99, they have yet to disclose all DOGE team members.
Katie Miller previously held roles as deputy press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security and as press secretary for former Vice President Mike Pence. She is presently a spokesperson for the transition team for Trump’s designated Health and Human Services secretary, Robert Kennedy Jr.
Expressing her gratitude on Twitter, Miller stated, “Thank you @realDonaldTrump for your trust. Deeply honored to work for you at DOGE to make our government efficient and accountable. Let’s Make America Great Again!” Her appointment aligns with the bigger vision of streamlining government operations under the new administration.
Musk and Ramaswamy’s plans emphasize dismantling what they perceive as an unaccountable bureaucracy. As DOGE takes shape, further announcements about team members and their strategies are anticipated.
This move is part of Trump’s initiatives following his electoral victory, focusing on enhancing governmental efficiency and fulfilling his campaign promises.
