Celebrating Triumph: PM Modi Remarkably Honored with Kuwait’s Prestigious ‘Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Kuwait’s highest civilian honor, the ‘Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer,’ on Sunday, a prestigious accolade typically reserved for Heads of State and royalty. The Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah, presented the award in recognition of Modi’s exceptional efforts to strengthen the ties between India and Kuwait.
This honor was bestowed during Modi’s historic visit to Kuwait, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 43 years. The visit was a milestone in bilateral relations, with significant discussions between PM Modi and Sheikh Meshal at the Bayan Palace. These talks focused on elevating the India-Kuwait partnership to a strategic level, aiming for unprecedented collaboration between the two nations.
Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, emphasized this shift in relations in a post on X (formerly Twitter), announcing the elevation to a ‘Strategic Partnership.’ Jaiswal also highlighted PM Modi’s appreciation for Kuwait’s supportive measures for the Indian diaspora residing in the Gulf nation.
Upon his arrival at the Bayan Palace, PM Modi was welcomed with a grand ceremonial reception, including a Guard of Honour, reflecting the warmth and significance of the India-Kuwait relationship.
This visit and recognition highlight the deepening diplomatic ties and mutual respect between the two countries, setting a new direction for future collaborations.
