How BJP’s Transformation Ignites Hope in Tripura: Amit Shah Exposes CPI(M)’s Governance Failures
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on December 22, criticized the CPI(M) government for its ineffective governance in Tripura, claiming it neglected the people’s needs. Shah praised BJP workers for their transformative efforts in the region. Speaking at an event in Dhalai, Shah inaugurated and launched development projects valued at over Rs 668 crore.
Highlighting the Modi administration’s commitment to improving living conditions for marginalized communities, Shah visited the Haduklau Para Bru Settlement Colony and interacted with the Bru Reang community. He noted that, for nearly 25 years, the Bru Reang people suffered without basic necessities like water, electricity, and healthcare under the previous regimes. Shah commended the BJP government for successfully resettling 40,000 Bru Reang individuals, providing them with essential services, including employment, drinking water, education, healthcare, and women’s cooperatives.
Amit Shah contrasted the BJP’s achievements with the previous Congress and CPI(M) administrations, accusing them of neglect. Reflecting on his 2017 visit as BJP National President, Shah recounted the party’s growth from a small gathering to overthrowing the Communist government. He highlighted that under CPI(M) rule, only 2.5% of the population had access to proper drinking water, while the BJP improved this figure to 85%. Furthermore, Shah noted that BJP initiatives have resulted in 82% of poor citizens now receiving free rations, unlike during CPI(M)’s tenure.
Shah criticized past governments for creating ineffective schemes that failed to create tangible improvements, emphasizing the significant changes brought about by BJP-led initiatives. He attributed this success to the combined efforts of state and central leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a transformational era for Tripura.
