The film, which delves into societal norms with a story based on Biplab Goswami’s original concept with additional dialogues by Divyanidhi Sharma, was unable to secure a spot among the top 15 shortlisted films. Other noteworthy contenders in this category include “Touch,” “Kneecap,” “Vermiglio,” and “Flow,” reflecting the diversity and depth of narratives vying for attention.
While India’s journey in the International Feature Film category halts with “Laapataa Ladies,” hope persists with “Anuja,” representing Indian cinema’s storytelling prowess and highlighting critical social issues on an international platform.
