Conversion Controversy Ignites Tension in Palasbari: 5 Arrested Amidst Chaos
Tension has engulfed Velera village in the Palasbari area of Kamrup district following allegations that a group of unidentified individuals attempted to convert local Hindu residents to Christianity using enticement and threats. Sources reveal that this group has been active in trying to persuade locals to convert for some time, though residents have resisted these efforts, leading to heightened frictions and unrest in the community.
The situation escalated after Christian symbols reportedly appeared in the village, which prompted local residents to inform law enforcement authorities.
