Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has voiced serious concerns over the sudden disappearance of renowned Assamese music director Ramen Baruah. The esteemed musician was reported missing earlier today in Guwahati, causing widespread distress among his family, friends, and numerous admirers.
In a statement on the social media platform X, CM Sarma expressed his worry, saying, “I am deeply concerned about the sudden disappearance of Sri Ramen Baruah, missing since this morning. His absence worries his family, friends, and countless admirers.” The Chief Minister has instructed Commissioner of Police, Guwahati, Diganta Barah, to utilize all available resources and expedite efforts to locate Baruah.
Ramen Baruah went missing on the morning of Monday, July 22. He had set out to visit the Ganesh temple in the Latasil area of Guwahati but has not been seen or heard from since. His family, growing anxious after being unable to reach him by phone, promptly reported his disappearance to the Latasil Police Station.
Authorities have initiated an investigation and launched an extensive search operation to find the celebrated music director. The sudden disappearance of such a prominent figure in the Assamese music scene has sparked alarm and concern among his followers.
