At the District Review Committee meeting in Vijayawada, Health and Family Welfare Minister Y. Satya Kumar Yadav emphasized the need for coordinated efforts between representatives and officials for the district’s overall development. Progress in 34 departments was reviewed, covering areas such as health, irrigation, and infrastructure. Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath and other local leaders discussed vital issues, including flood compensation of ₹304.08 crore and initiatives like ‘Polam Pilustondi’ to educate farmers on agricultural technologies. The government is implementing crop insurance schemes with Tata AIG Insurance to assist farmers affected by natural disasters. MLAs highlighted the need for financial aid for households damaged by rockslides, modernizing flood-damaged schools, and improving infrastructure. MP Kesineni Sivanath proposed integrating peripheral areas into the city under the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation to accelerate development. Minister Yadav reiterated the commitment to improving living standards, providing clean water, generating youth employment, and attracting entrepreneurs to the district.
