Emotional Farewell: First ‘I’m a Celebrity’ Campmate Makes Heartbreaking Exit from Jungle
The 2024 series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has seen its first elimination, as revealed in the episode aired on November 29. The episode began with the campmates enjoying a poignant final night together, sharing reflections on their jungle adventure. Reverend Richard Coles expressed the profound bonding experience, while Maura Higgins declared her fellow celebrities as her newfound family.
The tension heightened as hosts Ant and Dec entered the camp to announce the results of the public vote. Dean McCullough and Jane Moore were at risk of leaving, but it was Jane Moore, a panelist on Loose Women, who received the fewest votes. Upon her exit, Jane described her jungle stint as "a weird and magical experience," though she light-heartedly complained about the relentless rain. Despite being first to leave, she cherished the friendships made and expressed admiration for her campmates.
Jane voiced support for Melvin Odoom or Coleen Rooney to win, praising them as "quiet hard workers." The episode also featured an adrenaline-pumping Bushtucker Trial, undertaken by Oti Mabuse and Melvin Odoom. After Melvin courageously swapped places with Barry McGuigan, the duo faced the Tanks of Torture.
Locked inside a colossal tank, Oti and Melvin had to transfer stars across a wire into a star bag while enduring water, mud crabs, eels, crocodiles, and more. The head bubbles added to the challenge with spiders and snakes. Despite the daunting task, they successfully secured all 12 stars for camp within 12 minutes, earning Ant’s acclaim as the "new king and queen of the Bushtucker Trial."
