Kolhapur led with the highest voting percentage at 76.25%, while Mumbai City recorded the lowest at 52.07%.
Key electoral battles included NCP’s Hasan Musrif against NCP-SP’s Samarjeetsinh Ghatge in Kolhapur and Congress’ Rahul Patil against Shinde Sena’s Chandradip Narke in Karvir. Other districts with notable turnout included Naxal-affected Gadchiroli at 73.68%, Ahmednagar at 71.73%, and Buldhana at 70.32%. Vidharbha and Western Maharashtra saw an increase in participation, whereas urban areas like Mumbai Suburban lagged with only 55.77%. The overall urban voter engagement was varied, with Bhandup in Mumbai’s Eastern suburbs showing a turnout of 61.1%, while Bandra West reported 50.36% and Colaba 44.49%.
