Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate the golden jubilee edition of the All India Police Science Congress at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar today. The event will also feature Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. During his two-day visit to Gujarat, Mr. Shah plans to attend several important events around the state.
This year’s All India Police Science Congress marks a significant occasion, focusing on the future of Indian policing and exploring global best practices and technology-driven reforms. According to Akashvani’s correspondent, the two-day conference will address key issues, including the use of forensic science and technology in new criminal laws, the integration of artificial intelligence into the criminal justice system, and the potential role of blockchain technology in policing. Additionally, discussions will tackle the complexities of tracing money trails in cyber fraud and strategies to address radicalization in prisons.
Approximately 250 participants, including members from central and state police forces, forensic experts, and academicians, are expected to partake in the discussions. Adding to the event, a Police Science Exhibition is being organized alongside the conference.
In parallel to the conference activities, Mr. Shah will inaugurate the Gandhinagar Postal Stamp Exhibition Phila Vista at Dandi Kutir in the morning. Later, in the afternoon, he is scheduled to open an animal feed plant with a production capacity of 800 metric tons at Sabar Dairy in Himmatnagar. This series of inaugurations and conferences highlights Mr. Shah’s active engagement in advancing both technological and industrial sectors during his Gujarat visit.
