Shortly after consumption, attendees began exhibiting symptoms of food poisoning, prompting a swift emergency response in the area. The affected individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at the Sarupathar Community Health Centre, while one critically ill patient has been transferred to Golaghat for advanced care.
In light of this outbreak, MLA Biswajit Phukan visited the health facility to ensure that the affected are provided with top-tier medical services. He has urged the health department to deliver comprehensive care and has instructed local authorities to investigate the contamination source thoroughly.
