Trump: Iran-Israel War Will Quickly Trigger Oil Flows
On April 10, 2026, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Lebanon is a central part of the U.S.-brokered, two-week ceasefire and warned that any violations would carry severe consequences, remarks that followed massive Israeli strikes on Lebanon that killed more than 200 people.
“Lebanon and the entire Resistance Axis, as Iran’s allies, form an inseparable part of the ceasefire,” Ghalibaf wrote in a post on X, stressing Tehran’s position that Lebanon must be included in the truce.
Ghalibaf explicitly cautioned against breaking the truce, saying that “ceasefire violations carry explicit costs and STRONG responses,” language that underlines Tehran’s readiness to respond if the agreement is breached.
The claim comes amid mixed signals from international actors: since the ceasefire was agreed, Tehran and Washington have issued competing messages over whether Lebanon is covered, while Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said his country will strike Lebanese armed group Hezbollah “wherever necessary.”
On April 9, 2026, Ghalibaf added that the Pakistani leader had “publicly and clearly stressed the Lebanon issue,” and he insisted there was “no room for denial or backtracking.” — AFP
