Exciting News! Mizoram Government Boosts Employee Morale with 4% DA Hike
The Mizoram government has announced a 4 percent increase in the dearness allowance (DA) for its employees, effective from November. This adjustment, which is being considered a Christmas gift, will raise the DA to 40 percent of the basic pay for government employees. The increase aims to provide financial relief and support to employees during the festive season.
In addition to the DA hike, the Mizoram cabinet has also approved the creation of a state human rights commission, which will include 16 new positions. This decision follows a directive from the Gauhati High Court, which mandated the establishment of the commission within two months. The directive was issued by the division bench comprising Chief Justice Vijay Bishnoi and Justice Michael Zothankhuma.
The Mizoram government’s initiatives reflect a commitment to enhancing employee welfare and strengthening human rights infrastructure in the state.
